Choose coverage for the moments that matter

During our benefits re-enrollment period each spring, you get to choose from different levels of coverage and protection — so you can get the right fit for you and your family.

Get ready! Re-enroll between May 18 and May 29 on the For Your Benefit portal

If you need help choosing your coverage, check out the decision guides to see what others are selecting and what’s driving their decisions.

Reminder! Re-enrollment is your only chance to choose benefits for the 2026/2027 plan year, unless you have an eligible life event such as getting married or divorced or having a baby.

If you don’t re-enroll, you will receive the same coverage for health care, dental care and optional insurance as last year.

Important! You have exactly 548 days from the service date to submit your Proof of Claim to Sun Life for medical and dental services.

To learn more, visit mysunlife.ca or call 1-888-757-7427 to speak to a Sun Life representative.

We're pleased to share your 2026 benefits updates:

Benefit enhancements

New Coverage Addition: Cooling Caps

We are pleased to announce that all medical plans now cover cooling caps. This technology helps reduce hair loss during chemotherapy treatment. Coverage includes:

  • Cooling cap rental: up to $450/month
  • Dry ice: up to $100/treatment

Stable Rates: Life Insurance, AD&D, and Long-Term Disability

We are pleased to share that your rates will remain unchanged for Basic Life Insurance, Optional Life Insurance, Basic AD&D, Optional AD&D, and Long-Term Disability, providing continued financial protection at the same cost.

These comprehensive enhancements demonstrate our ongoing commitment to providing competitive benefits, developed in response to employee feedback and market benchmarking analysis.

Rates for health, dental and LTD

We are constantly striving to keep the plan as comprehensive and affordable as possible for our employees.

Health and dental

This year, there will be an increase to health and dental rates. This is due to our claim experience from last year — the more claims that are submitted to the plan, the higher the increase in rates the following year.

While Johnson & Johnson absorbs the rate increase and enhances flex credits for benefit selection, your contribution may increase based on your chosen options.

Long-term disability (LTD)

As a reminder, Johnson & Johnson covers the full cost of your basic LTD benefit. This year, rates will not increase if you have selected the “buy-up option” which provides a greater LTD benefit and requires employees to share a portion of the cost.

To see how these changes affect you, we encourage you to visit the re-enrollment tool on the For Your Benefit portal   between May 18 and May 29.

Do you need to update your pension and savings choices?

As a reminder, you can adjust your Pension & Savings Program choices twice each year:

During pension enrollment in December
During benefits enrollment in May

You have a limited-time opportunity to review the choices you made and make any adjustments for the remainder of the year! Any adjustments that you make to your Pension & Savings Program choices will take effect July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
